Shattered 04:30
Baby boy coos and he cries. He crawls - well, he tries. He doesn't know. He just is. But mirrors show. The mirror knows. Hey kid come look at yourself. See all you are, all that you could hope to become, complete, something else. The mirror's I's just another lie we'll sell. You've got such promise. We hope you make it. The mirror's not honest. We hope you break it. Shatter. Become yourself. Shatter. If nothing else. And as I reflect, it don't make much sense - Look back to see what's ahead? It's all in your head. Define your expectations. Shoot high and aim for the sky. Yeah, you can fly. Defy your expectations. I can't. Shattered. I broke myself. Shattered. The mirror's hell.

The Flood 04:20
The deluge waits on the horizon It means to inundate this town. They said the waters are a risin', But I live on higher ground. I have no fear of man or tempest. I can brave the hurricane. Disaster's always been my temptress. Sink or swim, it's all the same. The flood, the flood, it's in my blood. Asphyxiate my liquid lungs. Too shallow to swim, too deep to run. The tides are washing bodies up. The flood, the flood, it's in my blood. Asphyxiate my liquid lungs. Too shallow to swim, too deep to run. The tides keep crashing, bottoms up. Beneath this blanket, creature comforts. Misery and all his friends. Dance and drink with all my demons, 'Til the dregs of this storm end. Though the rescue boats kept coming, I don't dare dream of a dry death. Leave me here to play at numbing. Full fathom fifths flow through my chest. Now I am drowning in the sea. Oh, Father, take this cup from me. Now I am drowning in disease Oh, Father, take this cup from me. Oh, could you spare some water, please?

Doppelganger 03:58
Well I never met a mirror that I didn't mind. They never show me what I am ,the image of another man. No I never met a mirror I could seem to like. Might even share my name, but he could never feel my pain. The mirror don't know. It's come clearer. I can't control the cards I hold and what's for show. Feels like everything's a mirror to these weary eyes. A shard in everyone I meet. Echoes howling from the streets. I swear I read somewhere that they reflect the light. Somehow all I ever see is the dark the dwells inside me. Well I never met a mirror that I didn't mind. Don't show me what I am. Image of another man. Now I'm throwing fist at mirrors til I see it right. The glass is breaking. I'm sick of staring at my faults in another's eyes When it's my own face. I'm done pretending it's a doppelganger come to life. The hatred's misplaced. Am I rejecting my own eyes? Projecting on your life To protect my own lie?

Brothers 03:45
We were born and bred together Given life in the same womb Neither one of us the lesser No matter how unkempt or groomed When it came time to leave our mothers You held my heel and said don't you go Through all these years I've called you brother but there's some things you oughta know. We've been both chasing the same lights And one of us is gonna feel its burn You know it feels like a birthright But sometimes victory's earned. Like the ones who came before us Rivals, brothers, just the same as they sang to me We may roam in a separate place I'm done searching for ghosts and grace Empty echoes of firehalls Are all we ever we are. We've been both chasing the same lights And one of us is gonna feel its burn You know it feels like a birthright But sometimes victory's earned. We've both been fighting the same fight Waiting for tides to take their turn Sometimes what feels like a birthright Is just a lesson learned. I could never see it right Though we stood there side by side My tunnel vision Fixed my eyes on only what's ahead Then it all came into frame The prize was always yours to claim I saw you graced with what was mine I learned to look at you with pride [arm in arm we'll steal our own light] Someday we'll both have our own light And man it's gonna feel good to burn We've both fighting the long night And I say it's our turn Yeah we've been fighting the same fight And now I think that we've finally earned Something better than birthright
5.
The grief that you held in gave birth to your new skin. A husk, a shell. A permanent costume that claimed you and cloaked you In dusk, in shadow. But can you shed what's in your head? Creatures in basements and much lower places, They just won't leave you. Now the one you ignored's knocks three times at your door To destroy, deceive you. Can you find your way back? Can you outrun the jet black? You made us.(Can you reverse?) Venomous. (Can you break this curse?) You know my name. We're the same. Misery. Take a look at what's inside. Behind your eyes. Be your own light. You're the one who can chase the dark away. And it's all within.
6.
Hey you. You know that life ain't all you want it to be, baby. But you seem so bereft of all you wanted to see. Maybe try not to let lack, the loss, or love get you down. You've got so much of life ahead and you can make sound. Hold on. Don't try to become anybody other than you. Don't lie. You've got to own the shit that bothers ya, too. Prepare. You know that worse and better times lie ahead. Don't fear. Don't jump the gun. Ignore what worries your head. Slow down. I promise I won't always be the kid I was at 23, Damaged by some futures past. Today I will be free at last. I'll burn blue with integrity. Look at things with clarity. Be the man I was born to be. I'll be the love that lives inside me.
